About David's Stump Grinding
A small operation out of Auburn, not a franchise with a call center in between.
The number on this page is the number on the truck.
Most of the work is stumps, and most of it is within twenty minutes of the shop on Sierra View Circle. The rest of Placer County is a drive, and we make it regularly — south to the Roseville and Granite Bay tract yards, up I-80 to Colfax, out the divide to Foresthill.

How a job actually goes
We walk the yard first. You mark what we can't see. Then we grind.
We walk the yard first
Before anything runs, we look at the stump, the gate, the slope, and what's sitting next to it — irrigation boxes, well lids, propane, low wires, a retaining wall that's already leaning.
You mark what we can't see
Drip lines and buried wire don't announce themselves. If you know where they run, flag them. If you don't, say so and we'll work more carefully rather than guess.
6 to 12 inches down
We rake the hole out so you can see what you've got before we leave, and either pile the chips or leave them in place — your call.
What you get
A look at the yard before the machine starts. A grind well below grade instead of a shave at the surface. Chips handled the way you asked. And the same phone number afterward, in case something needs sorting out.
